Emerald Capital exists to be a conduit to capital resources for both for-profit and non-profit organizations. Our mission is to make complex incentives and unconventional financial products available and understandable to all clients.
The team behind Emerald Capital believes that there is a lack of access of Federal and State Incentives and atypical financing for smaller businesses, nonprofits, and developers without a dedicated/sophisticated finance team. Emerald Capital believes that Federal/State Incentives and unconventional forms of financing should be available for all organizations, regardless of their financial back office capabilities.
Matt Drinen and Luke Pope bring nearly three decades of experience to Emerald Capital.
Matt Drinen has over 11 years experience in Finance/Banking with respect to New Markets & Historic Tax Credits, and Opportunity Zone Investments. His experience spans the capital sourcing and structuring, closing, and managing for those tax credits and investments.
Luke spent more than fifteen years in public accounting at a top ten national firm with a heavy emphasis on assisting real estate developers, operators and investors. His experience includes structuring complex real estate transactions, tax credit consulting including New Markets (NMTC) and Historic Tax Credits (HTC), Opportunity Zone Consulting and supporting capital markets transactions into complicated real estate deals.
